Hey folks, I hope that your holiday season was filled with joy, laughter, and maybe even a little sword-and-sorcery adventure!
Now, before I get to the updates, I wanted to start by sharing a bit about my Christmas, which ended up being a two-parter this year.
See, I'm broke.... I'm sure I've talked about that before, but, due to my constant search for cash, I usually have to wait until the last paycheck before Christmas to start ordering gifts for the wife and kids. Usually, that hasn't been too much of an issue.
This year however, not everything arrived in time for Christmas morning. So, we improvised and decided to do two Christmases!
On Christmas morning we opened the presents that had arrived on time, and then saved the rest for when everything else showed up. Our second Christmas was just last night, and let me tell you—I was lucky enough to score all geek-themed gifts! And by all, I mean two.
Well, technically one. The second one hasn't arrived yet. I'll explain.
First, I got the G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero! Compendium One in paperback, which collects the first 50 issues of the 80s Marvel G.I. Joe run. I’m beyond excited to dig into it. Is there another podcast in my future? I hope not…but knowing me, anything’s possible.
I’m also looking forward to a new Green Lantern hat—though that's the gift that's not here just yet. Someone (I won't call anyone out) ordered the wrong size, but the right one is on its way.
It's just like the hat I used to own, which has always been my most favorite hat, but has since gotten all old and beat up and worn out.
Now, onto Hither Came Conan!
I’ve finished up the script and notes for the next episode, where I’ll be talking about Conan the Barbarian #32: Flame Winds of Lost Khitai from August 1973. It’s a thrilling story, and I can’t wait to share it with you!
That said, the holidays have kept me busier than I’d expected. Between all the festivities and having my daughter home from school on her holiday break, I haven’t had much time to record.
But next week, things will finally settle down. My daughter will be back in school, the holiday craziness will be over, and I’ll be recording my butt off. My goal is to record 4-5 episodes of Hither Came Conan in advance to stay ahead of the game.
Once I start releasing new episodes, they’ll come out every other Wednesday, alternating with episodes of The Superman Super Show, which releases every other Monday. That means one week you’ll get The Superman Super Show, and the next week it’ll be Hither Came Conan, and so on.
Thank you so much for your patience and support as I prepare for the new year. I’m excited to dive into these episodes and share more adventures with you in 2025!
As always, feel free to reach out with any questions, comments, or just to say hello.
Bye!
