When Superman arrives in Gotham City to bring in the masked vigilante Batman, he quickly learns that Gotham plays by different rules. Faced with Batman’s cunning tactics and a deadly new foe, Magpie, the two heroes are forced into an uneasy alliance. As they navigate their clashing ideologies and methods, they find common ground—but not friendship.

The Man of Steel #3 was published by DC Comics on August 7, 1986.
